This component serves as the base to which the bottle-feeding pad as well as the privacy veil is individually attached for use. The second component is the bottle-feeding pad. As its name implies, this portion secures the bottle in place for the healthy feeding of your baby. The third component is the privacy veil. This feature is designed for breast-feeding mothers, and provides a private, secure environment for their baby in addition to adding privacy for the working mother who expresses her milk for later feeding. A third featurethe Discovery Padis also available separately. The Gabriel Discovery Pad also attaches to the support pad and provides four tethers by which parents can select and attach their choice of intellect-stimulating toys. The Discovery Pad also comes with a removable safe mirror.
The Gabriel bottle-feeding feature of the Gabriel Feeding Padâ attaches by a Velcro fastening system to the support pad, draping snuggly over the back shoulder while the feeding pad cascades down the front to position the bottle properly for feeding. The pad is designed to accommodate right- or left-handed persons.
Nearly any manufacturers bottle from 2 to 9oz. can be used with the Gabriel Feeding Padâ. Once the pad is properly positioned, a small Velcro arm with elastic x bands holds the bottle securely in place, allowing proper upright positioning of the baby while feeding. An additional Velcro arm with an elastic x band is adjacent the original one to provide additional support for 8oz. bottles.
A pleated elastic pocket conveniently holds the bottle cap, or other small items, minimizing misplacement. Intimacy with an infant is still maintained as the baby rests in your arm against the soft pad.
